Golden Slano Isopods

Armadillidium vulgare 'Golden Slano' is a cool golden morph of the vulgare isopods that was isolated from a strain of Armadillidium vulgare from the town of Slano in Croatia. Just like most Armadillidium isopods, they are easy to keep and grow to just over half an inch. We have had great experience with these in our Microvariums. In fact, Golden Slano isopods were the first we used during our research and we still have our original (the very first!) Microvarium going strong with them after one year! They don't seem shy, so there are always some Golden Slano isopods out and about during the day.
